This portal helps in collecting data from multiple systems automatically and bringing it into a single repository.  This means teams don’t have to collect data manually. Interactive Power BI dashboards provide leadership with real-time reporting. It has role-based access, which helps every stakeholder work with and see data according to their role. Instead of manually sharing reports, it can be automatically refreshed and shared. The portal also helps with historical reporting and trend analysis, so that leadership can view the current numbers and the metrics that have changed over time.

What changes when reporting becomes self-service and governed

Collecting data in a single platform is only one part of the solution. The portal’s self-service capabilities help business users create their own reports. Standardized templates and governance controls help keep reports consistent, even when more people are creating their own reports.

The combination of automation and self-service that is supported by governance has removed the spreadsheet, which is based on consolidation work, instead of moving it to another place. According to the estimation of the firm’s IT team, the platform has reduced the manual effort of report preparation by 60 to 80 percent. The solution went into production in 2026.
